Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital is Australia’s largest Mobile Wildlife Hospital. The licensed veterinary hospital operates full time veterinary services for injured, sick, displaced and orphaned wildlife. Custom-built inside a 22 wheel semi-trailer, the fully equipped vet hospital can be mobilised to travel to a crisis like a flood or bushfire, to provide emergency treatment for impacted wildlife. It is staffed by a full time team of vets and nurses working from their permanent home in the Byron Hinterland. The services are provided free of charge and relies on donations, philanthropy and partnerships for its operations.
